what do you mean? feels the guy is at the top of his career
Look at the movies he’s picked ever since the Cash biopic. Lots of interesting roles in dogshit movies.
yeah but at the same time he has very good movies, or even kinda classics
but after 2005? Again, The Master aside, what would you say qualifies as a classic in the last 19 years?
Her, You Were Never Really Here, Joker hell even Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot is a compelling movie.

I didnt cared for Cmon Cmon and Napoleon was a misstep. Havent seen The Sister Brothers yet. I also need to see The Immigrant and Beau.

He always delivers good performances even when he's in a bad movie. His acclaim as an actor is deserved

Signs is the first film where JP showed any talent as an actor at all. Everything before that is laughably terrible, performance wise. The guy was a legit joke. Especially when compared (unfairly) to his infinitely more talented brother.

To his credit, he turned it around and showed he has real teeth. I've really loved him as an actor since. While there are films I'll never see (Napoleon) and films I wish I hadn't (Beau Is Afraid; a truly terrible film) JP continues to be interesting if not great.

I have no interest in this Joker sequel, but that's not because of him. It's because in spite of him the first one is stupid. And Gaga, though a remarkable talent as a singer and music performer, isn't a very compelling actor.
