It sounds pretty reasonable to me and in line with him being a libertarian and a bit of an idiot (find me a libertarian who isn't)

Maybe he's a racist, but I don't think this really stands as proof.

It's incredible to me how many people think he should face "consequences" (that they are never very clear on) for "spreading misinformation". The very idea is utterly abhorrent to me. Frankly, you have a right to lie to people. The whole "platforming liars" argument is an instant loser for me. I don't grant anyone the authority to determine for me who is lying.

The world is made up mostly of little wannabe tyrants who want nothing but submission from their fellow man. I would fucking hate them with every fiber of my being, but luckily for them I've been reading a lot of Spinoza lately and I'm trying to keep an adequate understanding of God/Nature!

The American fear of the "n-word" (and it's so comical that I have to type that out to avoid being burned at the stake by the frenzied crowd) is as absurd as the wizards of Hogwarts fear of saying "Voldemort" or some 17th century peasant's fear of uttering blasphemy. It's remarkable that this insane superstition has become so palpably real in our society, and that the word's mere utterance, regardless of context, manifests a real demon (a racist) in the world. Truly one of the last true "curse" words.

In any case, I think there's a clear difference between using the word ("nigger") as an attack and using it as part of an anecdote or to discuss the use of the word itself. Seems disingenuous to me to pretend otherwise. That said, enough black people have spoken about it being hurtful (in public and in my personal life) that I'm like okay, I get it, that's not a hill I'm gonna die on

I dislike Rogan for a number of small reasons. The "Planet of the Apes" thing seems pretty damning. That said, I'd be very surprised if this affected him in a serious way. Spotify made a major investment with him and he is a huge draw numbers-wise
