That’s cool, he seems fun. I saw Bent Knee live in 2016 and was surprised when he briefly became a recurring call-in guy on the Office Hours podcast

Hello fellow hotel breakfast enthusiasts

I've had several hotel breakfasts over the last few months but none that I've felt compelled to share, until this morning's delicious breakfast at the Hotel Caribe by Faranda Grand in Cartagena, Colombia

Very varied and extremely good quality

Small cereal bar

Cheeses and cold cuts

A nice assortment of fruit
Image

Hot options included eggs, sausage, fried plantains, pork belly, and a rice-and-lentils thing that was surprisingly delicious
Image

Also empanadas, carimañolas, breaded meatballs, and other stuff
Image

Oatmeal and... rib broth?

Various breads and bread-like foods

Not pictured: a whole-ass french toast station.

The food was great and even though the hotel is pretty crowded right now the staff did a good job of keeping things moving. Very nice service, although we did have trouble catchign the coffee guy's attention for some reason.

Highly recommend

Those pepperoni disks belong on leftover cold pizza or gtfo.

I don't think that's pepperoni. I think that's longaniza.

south america may lack rule of law, accounting standards, and independent audit functions, but they sure know how to assemble a hotel breakfast buffet

You don't have to eat the whole thing!

One of my favorites was at a XXX I stayed at. They had this incredible spread with fresh croissants, a variety of cheeses, and freshly squeezed juice—definitely the best continental breakfast I've had. I also enjoy a hearty American breakfast, though. There’s something about pancakes and eggs that makes me feel like I’m starting my day off right. Buffet-style can be hit or miss, but when it’s well-stocked and fresh, it’s hard to beat. I did have a room service breakfast once, and it felt so luxurious, especially when I got to enjoy it while watching the city wake up.
