3 - 8 are very well liked in general, especially 5 which is regarded as the best one and an all-around great movie. But people did not seem to like 9 from what I can tell, and X seems to continue the downhill trend.
I don't even remember which ones I've seen. Maybe the first two?

Early reports were that Indy 5 was going to use a lot of practical effects, but early reviews seem to indicate that's not the case.
I thought the stunt show feel of those movies was a large part of their appeal.

Super hero movies, Disney cartoon movies, etc. These are simply elaborate advertisements for the endless merch cheaply manufactured in Asia, aren’t they?

Little Mermaid shaping out to land at about $125M domestic over the four-day holiday weekend. Not Lion King numbers, but really good compared to other Disney live action remakes. It'll probably land behind Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, both of which had star power on top of general Disney power. I've got to imagine Disney is happy with these numbers

The second weekend drop is what I'm most interested in. For kid movies (any movie really) to really make the money the little monsters have to convince their parents to take them back for repeat viewings. At 2 hours and 15 mins will the movie keep their interest and will parents be willing to sit through it again? If yes they are in good shape. If no and with soft international numbers it might fizzle fast.
