What he did went far beyond any kind of political disagreements.

I always got along pretty well with Mac, but he still pmed me pictures of dead bodies. How do you explain that?

Do you think he actually hoped for this? Or maybe he was trying to piss off mickey because he felt mickey had tried to piss him off previously? At the end of the day, they were just words and nobody killed anybody.

I once got so mad at Mickey that I threatened to kill myself. That's insane, but it's not necessarily evil. Mickey responded with compassion. PhatMac said some evil shit, he deserves to be responded to in kind.
