Here's the thing about that video, and the reason why I think I've never been into those guys: it's not actually funny. Who laughs while watching that? Who even cracks a smile?
I imagine the appeal is more in the anticipation of quoting it with your buds. Enunciating "ridged chips" when you ask your pal to bring over some snacks the next time you invite them over seems like a pleasurable, bonding experience. Plus they have all these elaborate, decade-long gags that make people who understand them feel like they are in the in-group, part of something.
