Just read the thread and I probably would not have given this a chsnce if I nee Garland had written it. Sas to learn he also wrote Bone Temple but fingers crossed. I feel like Danny Boyle's directing might have elevated the material but not sure.

he's written every film in the franchise but Weeks; if you enjoyed Years I've very little doubt you'll love the Temple of Bone

as it got towards the end, I was really wondering how they were gonna make 2 more movies out of it.
Then we see
- Spoiler: show
- JIM
out of nowhere! Now I'm intrigued.

That's just it, and Temple of the Love Bone takes it even further!
Kelson may be the most enlightened character I've ever seen on film. I want my guru-seeking parents to see these movies so I can discuss that with them, but how the heck will I get them to watch zombie movies?! It's a miracle that these artistic statements are being made.

Kudos to Nia DaCosta and Alex Garland for making absolutely absurd scenes fit organically into a good story. This is what cinema is for, and specifically what horror can be particularly good at.

Have I mentioned that Civil War was the worst movie I have seen in the last few years? Annihilation was also world class terrible. Ex Machina was ok. Not trying to ve annoying. Just my two cents.

Civil War was kind of meh but I really enjoyed Annihilation (especially
- Spoiler: show
- the screaming zombie bear
) and thought Ex Machina was pretty good. What did you hate about those first two?

Finally watched Bone Temple. I really enjoyed 28YL, but this blows it out of the water.
Brutal as fuck, though. The Jimmies really were pieces of shit! I'm not a big torture guy and some of those scenes were... rough.
