I was thinking of getting the CD of Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes Live at the Greek.
With the 2LP set you only get a "best of" from the show, and I can't afford 6LPs.
With the CDs, I get the whole show for less than the 2LP reissue.

I heard a few songs from this the other day. It sounds good, I’ll probably go with the cd

My first CD was Living Colour's Biscuits EP. Oh boy did I love that band.

I remember a mate loaned this to me on CD years and years ago, not long after it was released. I taped Talking Loud and Saying Nothing onto a mix tape which I managed to then lose not much later. For like 5 years I went searching for that song again and could never find it until streaming rolled around and got big.

Great tune.

Yep, James Brown had lots of bangers.

Little bit of their stuff, the biggies only really I guess. Always thought Vernon Reid was a sick guitarist.

I've broken out what CDs I have left and have been enjoying listening to them lately. I got rid of a bulk of my collection a while ago, but held on to many of my favorite artists. Recently while browsing vinyl, I shopped the store's used CD collection and found a lot of good stuff that was much more affordable. I've really toned down my vinyl buying lately, even the used stuff is so expensive now. Anyone else still listen to these shiny little discs, or have you just moved to streaming?

My most recent purchase was a copy of this for $4 last weekend.

I have a 230-ish collection I started around 15 years ago, originally started getting full discographies as they became available in my local store. Nowadays I like looking for rarities in clearance stores or chasing harder to find stuff in Discogs every now and then. My girlfriend thinks of this as my music museum and has gotten in tune with how satisfying it can be to own music as a permanent object; currently seeking St. Vincent's full works in CD.

That Cohen album has my favorite song (lyrically) of his, so I was happy to find it. And I'll always pick up any BPB I don't have.

Partially inspired by this thread, I have procured a boombox for the line cooks at my place of work.

I plan to seed a locker with some of my CDs in hopes of getting a music version of those little free libraries started.

Can't wait to hear what these guys bring in. Death to bluetooth YouTube streams during service.

Went to Book Off in Manhattan yesterday. Their used CD offering was massive. Couldn't stay and browse too long because I had to shit, but picked up some good opera cds and a Paul Simon and REM cd, all for $1.50 or less.
