.99 cent sale on cds at the local music store today

I heard a few songs from this the other day. It sounds good, I’ll probably go with the cdB wrote:I was thinking of getting the CD of Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes Live at the Greek.
With the 2LP set you only get a "best of" from the show, and I can't afford 6LPs.
With the CDs, I get the whole show for less than the 2LP reissue.

Yep, James Brown had lots of bangers.zeb wrote:A good cover of a great tune.Higgs wrote:I remember a mate loaned this to me on CD years and years ago, not long after it was released. Great tune.
How much other Living Colour do you know, Higgs?
Man I picked that one up and thought "I have to buy this just to get a reaction out of 'snatcher"! LOL.bodysnatcher wrote:Overpaid for that Sugarcubes cd, Ruddo
Probably not the thread for it but you should stream Stain and Time's Up as a priority.Higgs wrote:Yep, James Brown had lots of bangers.zeb wrote:A good cover of a great tune.Higgs wrote:I remember a mate loaned this to me on CD years and years ago, not long after it was released. Little bit of their stuff, the biggies only really I guess. Always thought Vernon Reid was a sick guitarist.
I have a 230-ish collection I started around 15 years ago, originally started getting full discographies as they became available in my local store. Nowadays I like looking for rarities in clearance stores or chasing harder to find stuff in Discogs every now and then. My girlfriend thinks of this as my music museum and has gotten in tune with how satisfying it can be to own music as a permanent object; currently seeking St. Vincent's full works in CD.E.H. Recently while browsing vinyl, I shopped the store's used CD collection and found a lot of good stuff that was much more affordable. I've really toned down my vinyl buying lately, even the used stuff is so expensive now. Anyone else still listen to these shiny little discs, or have you just moved to streaming?
My most recent purchase was a copy of this for $4 last weekend.

Nice, which one?E.H. Ruddock wrote:That Cohen album has my favorite song (lyrically) of his, so I was happy to find it.

I always really liked "Nightingale" on that album. And "Careless Love" on the BPB album.

Ruddo is fighting having to take a shit and stops to shop for $1 opera CDs. The man is an enigma.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Went to Book Off in Manhattan yesterday. Their used CD offering was massive. Couldn't stay and browse too long because I had to shit, but picked up some good opera cds and a Paul Simon and REM cd, all for $1.50 or less.
