What if the real odyssey was wading through everyone’s weird hangups about this movie all along?

These types of movies used to be colorful and vibrant. I miss color.

Telemachus referring to Odysseys as "my dad" is a weird choice to me. "my father" would've made more sense to me. I know Telemachus is supposed to be a sort of 21-year-old baby child, but it still felt weird
I'm not sure if this or Damon yelling "Let's go!" to his troops like it's a UFC press conference is more jarring

ain't nothin wrong with taking liberties with a work of fiction. completely modernize it for all i care, as long as it's well done (not too rare, because it can make you sick)

Let’s just say if Damon asks Cylops if he likes apples, I won’t be shocked.

Can I just say that I’m impressed with Argo’s history chops? Dropping in a phrase like Mycenaean Greek was impressive.
Also Jon Berenthal always reminds me of that one predatory frat brother who talks like he’s all feminist during the day but everyone knows 1) it’s bologna and 2) he’d maybe beat them up if they pointed it out.

Nothing about this movie is even remotely appealing.

Quit Tragging up the thread, fatty. Go talk about something that does appeal to you.

Me too. Probably at the theater just because there’s hardly anything remotely appealing that’s showing
Expectations very much tempered though.
