My goodness this was everything I wanted and more. So beautiful. So much heart. They really nailed the rocky and grace relationship.

Surprised Joey is the one here a bit more down on the film than everyone else! Perhaps that really is due to having read the book.

It's been a couple years since I've reed the book but the stakes definitely felt much higher in the book. I think there was much more drama around the fuel issue for Rylan's ship and how he and rocky developed plans to get enough fuel to collect the bacteria and enough for grace to get home.

The movie hit all the major points and it was just beautiful to watch. Big fan.

I'm not down on this movie one bit! I loved it. I can't wait to see it again! I'm 100% going to buy it when it comes out on digital and watch it like every day!

This is one of the finest films I've ever seen. Cinema is so far from dead!

Will have to read the book now.

I thought it was totally fine. It's a cute, feel-good family movie. I don't get the rapturous reception but I enjoyed myself

I saw it over the weekend with my boys. I liked it and there is one visual moment in particular that made it worth seeing in the actual theater. I got surprisingly emotional in parts (but I’m also getting more emotional watching movies generally as I get older). I think I’d like to read the book now to see if some of the loose ends are tied up there.

I think I liked The Martian a little better because the desperation was more palpable in that one. But Hail Mary was a good movie in my book.
