01. Pendulum
02. Sirens
03. My Father's Son
04. Swallowed Whole
05. Lightning Bolt
06. Infallible
07. MYM
08. Let The Records Play
09. Future Days
10. Getaway
11. Yellow Moon

X-Mas Single
01. Of The Earth (studio)
02. Sleeping By Myself
I think Im gonna listen to this, but i think sleeping by myself is one of the better songs from the album so i will include it somewhere.
Even if you like the song, it just doesn't have a place on the album. It shouldn't be there. That's why I put it on the B-Side.

I hope you enjoy the listen!
Also, let me know what you think. I'm quite pleased with the sequence.

This made me realize I actually do like Sirens a lot.

I like it a lot better following Pendulum, and earlier in the album. I also think MFS follows it about 1000X better then it leads.

I do think MFS follows Sirens better than it leads, but Im still not that sure I like that transition.
Really digging the rest of the tracklist tho, especially My Father's Son into Swallowed Whole. I think Swallowed Whole improves a lot with early placement.

After the opening two tracks, this version of the album screams for an uptempo song. I like MYM and Getaway in the second half, and I agree that Swallowed Whole improves after MFS, and I too like SW towards the front of the record. Based on that info, MFS belongs following Sirens. I don't dislike the transition there at all. I also think it might be a cool combo in concert (if I have to hear Sirens live that is).

This would have been enough songs for an LP till the CD age so its good enough for me. You'd have to cut off the first few notes of Infallible at the end of Lightning Bolt and add some dead air seconds.

01. Mind Your Manners
02. Getaway
03. My Father's Son
04. Sirens
05. Swallowed Whole
06. Yellow Moon
07. Lightning Bolt
08. Pendulum

I don't even remember the actual track order anymore. Early on I made my own, and it stuck. Actually just listened to it the other day, and while I like the order, I kinda feel like SBM and LTRP make more sense as b-sides, but without something to replace them with I include them. And Future Days is pleasant but boring so I probably would have left it off. Never liked it as the closer, so I bury it at the end of side one and let MYM cleanse the palate. For me, the big thing was having some good songs at the end of the album, and I feel like my 10-12 are strong songs (though some others here clearly disagree). The actual order made me less likely to want to finish the album.

1.Pendulum
2. Swallowed Whole
3. Getaway
4. My Father's Son
5. Sirens
6. Future Days
7. Mind Your Manners
8. Sleeping By Myself
9. Let the Records Play
10. Lightning Bolt
11. Infallible
12. Yellow Moon

I really like your 9-12 finish, but I think Sirens into Future Days bogs everything down a bit. Other than that (and the fact that Sleeping By Myself exists), this is a nice track list.

I just watched the video performance of Sirens for the first time in forever (it's maybe the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever watched it), and I am blown away by how much better this is than the studio cut. Just another reason why BoB is a SoB. The video version makes me actually like this song a lot. WTF.

This version of Sirens makes me like my retracked version of LB even better. It would have been a great Track 2 after a Pendulum opener.

How does such a great band with so much experience make so many baffling production/sound quality choices? Are there any other notable bands that have such a problem in this area?

Two things I don't like about the live take: Matt's fuckup at the beginning, Ed's guitar sound after the solo

That part I do agree with. It is still such a vast improvement though.
