Eddies definitely saying 'newspapers on the road' live. And the start just sounds like 'eeeeeehheeeeeeeeee' Unless he is saying eddie, which would be odd, but it wouldnt be the first time. I dunno bout the backing vocals other than theres a tree involved.

If you ignore Stone's distracting wibblewabble, it's almost impossible not to pick up that Ed is singing words there...especially in the last few seconds.

It's definitely "growing up just like me, yeah" from 15 seconds onward on that clip.

Kinda, I guess? Like Robert Plant was definitely singing "oh my sweet Satan"

Mind your manners was better when i thought he was singing 'Son of Satan!' instead of 'all along they're saying'

Welp. I'm not at home with all my toys, so this is about the best I can make it clearer for you right now. This is just the "It's growing up just like me, yeah," part, with some of the bass and percussion reduced.
Or just the right hand side of that, to get rid of some of the bouncing effect. With the volume up a bit, the whole line becomes pretty clear.

The "whoaa-ohh" near the end of "Tremor Christ" is pretty good.
