So I uploaded (or at least attempted to) a zip file full of U2 non-album stuff for Kevin Davis, but figured since it's up there, I might as well see if anyone else wants it. PM me if you're interested (assuming it works). The stuff in it is kinda catered to his collection, so anything from the bonus disc of The Best of 1980-1990 and the 7EP aren't on it. If anyone really needs those I can probably add them at some point. My copies of the original version of Night & Day as well as Bono's versions of/appearances on Hallelujah, Save the Children, & Let the Good Times Roll are really crappy copies apparently (I think they're all from a bootleg I owned in the 90's), so they're not in there right now. Also I forgot to include the studio version of Sun City (which Bono also appears on). Lastly, I forgot that someone had stolen my copy of the In the Name of the Father Soundtrack, so the three songs Bono wrote with Gavin Friday from that aren't in there either. My collection gets really spotty post-ATYCLB, so I'm sure there's stuff missing from the last decade. I've also included only a handful of remixes (the ones that seemed significant enough to me). If anyone really cares about the other ones, let me know and I will see if I can upload them, but most of them aren't worth hearing more than once. Everything in here comes from my physical collection, so it should all be good quality (they're from my itunes though, so if you're an audiophile I apologize).
For those who are interested, here is what's in the file...

Listening to Streets live is a sublime experience. That guarantees them a place in my heart forever even if there was nothing else.

The first show i saw from this guys...back in 06, was a really different experience when it comes to live music. I realize how good The Edge is after watching him playing live.

I'm a casual U2 fan but that new song is the most U2 by numbers track they've probably ever recorded.
City of Blinding lights is a brilliant tune.

Y'know, it didn't dawn on me, but am I breaking board protocol with my last post? I can edit it accordingly if I am.

These are sounding great so far. Plus, now that I have Lament's email address, I can start copying him on all those funny email forwards I get from my mom.

I've always thought that was a beautiful song. When he wrote it he apparently sent it Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson. The version Willie Nelson did a few years later never really hit the spot for me. I think Johnny Cash would have done nicely with it though.

Definitely one of their absolute best songs. And Bono's favorite U2 song as well, supposedly.
(Or at least at one point it was. He's also called both I'm Not Your Baby and Stay the best thing they've ever done at other points. Which just shows he has better taste in U2 songs than most U2 fans do...)

There were just too many moments that made me roll my eyes. My god, the lyrics to Unknown Caller are just so painfully stupid.

yeah, I would probably be willing to say that Unknown Caller might very well be the worst song in their album catalog.

lament, the U2 b-sides have, for the most part, not really grabbed me. If you were going to pick 5, what would they be?
