Finally watched this. I'm really impressed so far. I want more TV shows to do short seasons to tell a more cohesive story.
Also, those ta tas were incredible.

Yup. I find myself enjoying TV shows more than movies these days when I want a rich narrative and characters, but I miss the focus and conciseness of film. This hits that sweet spot right in between.
House of Cards, this, and some of the miniseries planned for FX seem to be where a lot of prestige television is going.

McConaughey has always been a guy who you could see is a very good actor, but his roles that he took always were jsut awful. It seems in recent years have been better.

Caught both episodes last night. Pretty much everything already said in this thread holds true. Ominous mood, great acting, A+ set of boobs. It's a little slow moving but I watched the "inside the episode" feature on demand and they said that was intentional as they were concentrating on setting the mood and character nuance. I'm hooked though.

Great start to a show, but it's time to pick up the pace. Only 6 eps left!
And that girl. Omg. Just wow.

So far in 2014 RM has agreed on three things:
1.) The new PJ forums suck
2.) McP's RM advert on YouTube was awesome
3.) Alexandra Daddario is an attractive person
Our most productive January in 5 years.

I almost feel like the greatest nude scene in television history is taking away from how good this show is.

I'm just glad I don't watch this show with my wife. Anyway, it won't detract from the show, it was just a very unexpected scene. I can't wait for the next episode. The acting/mood of this show is perfect.

Yeah, they are rivals at this point. That scene is a show itself.
Is there a second season of that scene?

I really, really like this series so far. Admittedly (and I made no secret about it before the series started), I hated Matthew McConaughey. He's been nothing short of incredible so far.
How many episodes are there supposed to be?
Is the focus always on Woody and McConaughey for each season, or does it change?

8 episodes this season. It will have a different cast and story line next season.

Excellent. Thank you. I am lazy, and you saved me a search on google.
