Re: Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson deserves a lot of credit... the man just hates everyone on this planet and has dedicated every ounce of energy in his body to beating us all... and he is doing so. He had some long, chunky drives... tough to beat a team that will consistently go 80 yards and eat up tons of clock with a QB that barely makes a mistake
Did GB throw at Sherman even once tonight?

I didn't get to see this game but I read that Earl Thomas muffed a punt return. My question is why on earth are the Seahawks even using him there in the first place when they paid Percy Harvin all that money?

Percy Harvin was too tired from running the Oregon State Jet Sweep to death all night.
Earl attacked the ball well, the muff was really because he should have been more conservative on that particular short high kick and fair caught the ball (Sherman blocked his man strait into Thomas on the play it wasn't Thomas' fault)
Harvin is sort of fragile anyway, I liked Thomas' fearless approach but there's bound to be some rust since the VA Tech days. It makes sense honestly on both ends if they plan to use Harvin this much on offense. Harvin's use really opened the door for Lynch quite a bit inside.

I think you're confusing him with Kam Chancellor.Electromatic wrote:I liked Thomas' fearless approach but there's bound to be some rust since the VA Tech days.

Re: Seattle Seahawks
Thomas dropped the ball because the defender was blocked into him.
I think that would still be considered a live ball even on a fair catch.
He'll learn. Good thing it didn't matter as the Seahawks crushed everything else in their path and will continue to do so for the next 4 months.

Patrick Peterson was terrible yesterday. Anyone who says he's as good as Richard Sherman is a moron.
Still the Cards lead the West and haven't really played well yet.

Re: Seattle Seahawks
It's week 2. They've barely pulled out a home game and beat a horrible Giants team. Granted, they did beat a good team in San Diego and win a road game with Drew Stanton at QB, but long term I wouldn't get my hopes up. Too many missing pieces on defense and Carson Palmer/Drew Stanton isn't exactly an imposing duo at QB.turned2black wrote:Patrick Peterson was terrible yesterday. Oh, I totally agree. But Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles are best kept secrets in the NFL and I'm hopeful Andre Ellington will continue to get healthy.RussellManiac12 wrote:It's week 2. Heat: Fans following LeBron to whatever team he joined.
Cavs: See above under "Heat."
Broncos: See above under "Heat" and replace "LeBron" with "Peyton."
With the Seahawks it is definitely a bandwagon following that has jumped on with an already very strong fan base...but it's about winning, not latching on to some big name free agent who jumped ship from another team. This thing here was built brick by brick.

Re: Seattle Seahawks
Are you guys seeing bandwagon Seahawks fans around the country?
Seems to me like the media is respecting that it's a good team, but the fans everywhere outside of Seattle still really love to hate on Seattle.

I'd put the Broncos core fanbase right with the Seahawks core fanbase. The football teams definitely dominate both cities' pro attention.Bammer wrote:Difference...red calzolaio wrote:i should have jumped on the Seattle wagon like my dad told me to when i moved out there in 2006.
