i agree that the reaction may be a bit much, but he was a pretty big deal to black folks. it was all white guys or black guys acting like white guys before he came along.

No one was ripping stuart scott. Just expressing surprise at how beloved he was. He was a slightly hipper Steve Levy, who cancer speeched his way into being some sore of transcendent figure.
