i am batteling sinus infection/cold/flu who knows....trying to get up the energy to take advantage of the 40 degree weather with a run outside. I feel like shit though.
I am starting to worry about being fully prepared for the mud run in April.

202.8 lbs this morning afte reating like a horse last night. Goal is to get below 190 by my first event of the year April 21st. Pretty do able. Aiming for a sub 42min 10k than, that's iffier.

Only got in 7 today. Hoping for 10-12 tomorrow. But I'm using this week as a kind of recovery week. So I'm not too worried about pounding the miles.

I would start with a 2 miles or whatever you feel comfortable with, could be plenty more, and run a certain amount of days a week. Never increase your duration during the week. The following week you increase your workload slightly.....and so on...

If you go at it too hard, too fast after so much time off you could risk stress fracture or other injury.

A bandanna just gets soaking wet and gross feeling. Don't sleep on the headband.

Guys, a long run in the Grand Canyon is a life-changing experience... RM running meet-up for the ages.

Are you refering to the 50 or 75 mile sunrise run? I dated a girl who did that, I told her there was no way we could travel/vacation together.

Nah, just run down the South Kaibab trail... grab some beer at Phantom Ranch... hang out by the Colorado River... then hike out.

That I could do and probably feel spectacular for the experience.

Today's bike commute was ruled out by my bike lock being frozen. Trust me, I wouldn't get that bored of hot and sunny for my commute. Last night's ride home was in 35 degree weather. Only nice thing about that is I'm the only one in shorts.

Also, managed a 12 miler today. Felt pretty good considering how hungover I was from last night's festivities.

I shredded some gnarly bumps in 10 degree weather and blowing snow. ONly covered 13,000 vertical feet but am now enjoying a frothy beverage whilst listening to some new vinyl
