Looking at the people in the tournament, I can honestly say I really have no idea who everyone is gonna take in the first round. SRV was a surprise to me.

I think they do. Varis set the bar pretty high with his pick and his detailed explanation of why he took him. I think he's in it to win it.

Not me, I'm just winging it. Really, I have no idea who are good guitarists/bassists.

I thought way too hard about it while I was running today and started second-guessing all of the people I originally wanted to pick. I know where you're at, Joey.

Ditto. I have a few ideas but the first pick will dictate where I go. Some amazing picks available guys.

I've got a feeling Stip will go for one of mine... but it's the most easily-replaced member... I think I should go in order of replacement difficulty.. IF I ever get to go :poke:

I never do well in these things, as evidenced by the dislike my picks tend to elicit. I have zero expectation of winning but I do enjoy the process of drafting and trying to shape a team that works for me.

All I'm in this for is to try and draft a team that I love and to then watch myself get knocked out in the first round.

I was driving to Uni in 1990 when I heard that SRV had died in that helicopter crash. I had to pull over and I actually cried. SRV and Double Trouble was a big part of the soundtrack to my misspent youth. I'd say it's a bit pointless to bag a bluesman for being unoriginal - he was playing the blues, duh.

Anyways, I got him in my dream band and I am a happy camper.

I'm not an SRV guy myself, but in no way can I bag on someone for loving him. Especially on a Pearl Jam board...

I didn't bag him... I mentioned it as a drawback... I'm on Team SRV, and grew up in Dallas, where he's worshipped. He's a great fucking bluesman, indeed... but he didn't revolutionize anything, and he emulated his heroes, by his own admission.
