Here's the thing harry lime.

I actually understand, and to some degree agree with Mark Cuban's poorly stated attempt at a point was. But you have done such a dramatic job of coming off as a xenophobic racist, I've decided to cross the street now that I've seen you coming.

I think Cuban chose his words poorly because he used some very charged words to describe a black kid in a hoodie as a potential threat. The only defense for him is that he was trying to present an archetype that society programs you to react to (for both examples) as a threat. It is a sight judgement and pretty much the definition of prejudice to look at either of those people and think they are a threat. I don't think Cuban meant anything other than he practices risk averse behavior, but if you can't see why citing a black kid in a hoodie as enough of a threat to cross to the other side of the street is racist, then you are just digging your own hole, Lime.

I think you need to take a step outside of yourself, go back and read what you wrote. I'm a fairly moderate person with conservative leanings when it comes to politics and I feel you're just making the rest of us look really bad right now. I posit that I've likely seen more of the US than you have (I used to live there, I travel there frequently, and half my family lives there, scattered throughout the entire country). As I said above, he is trying to get the root of the cause. Not many people do this, and they should. But I don't blame them for trying, people misinterpret their points.

And how many times do I have to say that there are people in the black community who agree with and understand Mark Cuban. I can't stress that enough. Obviously they're seeing the point, because they're defending him, and using the same dialogue I am.

And that's all the validity I need.

The "black community" is not a homogenuous mass, nor does it default to a single position. It's really absurd for you to suggest that, because there are black people who agree with Mark Cuban, there is no validity to the objections against his wording. And you do this often... when some NBA star came out and criticized the response to the Trayvon Martin shooting, you posted his comment as if to say "LOOK, SEE! A BLACK PERSON AGREES! IT'S NOT RACIST". Stop that. It's fallacious.

Here are some other fallacious Harry Lime arguments, for future reference:
