of all the outrages I've been a party to in my RM history, this one strikes me as the most absurd. But it may also be localized to Lament.

Yeah, I absolutely think you can hear MJ's influence on Ed's Ten-era vocals. MJ had a really uniquely percussive delivery, and you can hear it in a lot of what Ed does on that record. Whether or not it was intentional, accidental, or somewhere in between, there's definitely strong hints of MJ in there.

So there you go.
London Calling was #1 and The Joshua Tree was #3, right?

Weren't Sign "O" the Times and 1999 also in the top 10-15?

EDIT: Nevermind. 1999 was #16. Dirty Mind was #18. Sign "O" the Times was #76. Prince and Springsteen were the only artists with four albums in the top 100.

Touching kids will cost you a few spots.
they didn't list their criteria.

Although...
He was also reluctant to do what Jones calls a "beg" on "The Lady in My Life." "That's asking a girl to give you some," says the producer, laughing. "That's against Michael's nature."

I'm sure at least part of it was intentional. Ed's gone on record saying he first started singing to Jackson 5 albums

Tunnel of Love is ranked 25. That seems a bit high, even though I probably prefer it to Born in the USA
