I'm not going to pretend I didnt want Klinsmann to be the coach just as bad as Sunil did, but thus far, it's been a complete disaster, he makes Arena and Bradley look like elite managers.

Guys, we are in BIG trouble for 2014. This team is just a complete mess:

Oddly, Dermpsey has been named captain and not Bradley for the upcoming qualifiers.

Looks like he might be leaving Madrid this summer. I'd really love to see him at Tottenham next season; we desperately need a new striker.
is he rumored to play there?

gotta say, it's pretty awesome seeing a game played under the kinds of conditions this US game is.

My brother told me to turn this game on, but he didn't tell me why! It was pretty shocking.

Yeah, would have been great to be there. Pretty huge win for USMNT given the circumstances, injuries and supposed team turmoil.
Jermaine Jones's snowfro was awesome.

Full credit to the Costa Ricans for not trying to have that game stopped. Can you imagine if it was Mexico down a goal in the 53rd minute with those conditions being asked if they wanted to abandon the game?

I'm not so sure they didn't. They seemed to complain to the ref AFTER the US guys were begging to keep the game going and the decision was made to continue. Supposedly Costa Rica has filed some sort of grievance against the conditions and want to appeal the result. Mexico would have tried to take the ball and go home though, you are right about that.
I like it that USMNT can go into the game Tuesday with all the pressure on Mexico to get win after two draws s far. I can see Edu getting the start and sliding back behind Jones and Bradley for a more defensive lineup. Beasley earned anoter start at LB in my opinion. Goodson/Gonzalez were solid at CB, but the game will be much much faster Tuesday so we shall see how that goes. Personally, I am hoping for a draw...

It seemed during the discussion that the Costa Rican players didnt want the game abandoned anymore than the US players, but, I could be wrong. Personally, I would be absolutely thrilled with a draw at the Azteca Tuesday. Beasley was outstanding last night, but I really worry about how he'll fair against the Mexicans at LB.

Jermaine Jones is out for tomorrow's game vs. Mexico with a sprained ankle. No replacement will be named.

Sprained Face is more like it. They don't really have anyone else do they?
