My cousin's husband lets their daughters (ages 5 and 6) play any word they want in Scrabble, as long as it makes 'sense' (so if it's misspelled he lets it fly, or if it's close to a real word). Last night they won with the word 'butpoo.'

That's no way to teach your kids how to play games and spell words.

I play games with my young nephews all the time and we have a strict policy of adhering to the rules.

I spent several hours of a recent beach vacation working on a puzzle with a number of relatives who are north of 50. I got pretty obsessed with that thing until we finished. Probably haven't done a puzzle for a good 10 years or more, and probably won't again for years to come.
