Do they mix it up pretty well or will the set be latest-album-heavy?

(I realize they recently toured specifically playing Blue and/or Pinkerton songs so that would be out of the norm?)
Basically, aside from playing 2-3 songs from whatever release they have out, expect to mostly hear the bigger singles from all of the previous albums and a couple of album cuts from Blue/Pinkerton

they've become a very "greatest hits" type of setlist band the last few years

This is actually really good. Despite the extraneous z in the title. I wasn't sure if he still had it in him.

I just got Pinkerton on iTunes today and listened through it for the first time. That is a true story.

Har har har...
I think it'd be great do discover Pinkerton now. It's an awesome record, followed by subsequent releases of diminishing returns.
I love the drum sound on that record, done at Fort Apache/Camp St. Studios in Cambridge. I recorded some stuff there for that exact sound, and loved how it came out.
I have no idea how I missed this at the time. I loved the Blue Album and stayed very into 90's rock ... it's still practically all I listen to ... somehow this one just slipped right past me. Weird.

Anyway, after one time through I like it. What stood out to me is the guitar tone ... can't remember which song(s) exactly ... but reminded me of "Sick of Myself" by Matthew Sweet. Kinda this muffled, don't really know how to explain it, sound.

this latest album is a lot better than it has any right being. I think the fact that its relatively short helps it a lot

You're thinking of Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs.

there is a lot to like about this album

I was very skeptical after the first few songs I heard but I'm really enjoying it

Man, Pinkerton is so good. It's the only Weezer I need, really.

Yes. I like "California Kids" and "Girl We Got a Good Thing" the best. "Thank God for Girls" is pure garbage though.

Yeah, if you replaced TGFG it would be an improvement
