What exactly is cool and subversive about saying your favorite Wilco album is Being There?

everyone picks yankee hotel foxtrot. choosing being there lets people know that you liked them when they were still tapping into the alt-country roots of uncle tupelo. the consensus pick regarding wilco is that they're better when they're exploratory, and it's consensus because it's true. but there's a birds in hell in every crowd, chris.

Guys, Being There is Wilco's best album. Then Summerteeth. Jay Bennett and Ken Coomer was where it's at. YHF is a good in too.

Jay Bennett wrote a lot of YHF, so it's OK to like that one just as much.

I'm well aware of that. It doesn't have the roll of the preceding two though. I'm more a fame of Coomers drumming.
