I'm 4 episodes in and he's probably my favorite.

4 episodes in as well and i'm enjoying this more than i thought i would...not that i had low expectations, they were just fairly tempered

Not that weird, actually. In the movie, his kitchen helper talks to the can at one point. The can doesn't talk back, but still. And then later in the movie, when gene tells the camp that he was talking to the can, Garafalo smiles and nods.

I just re-watched the movie. Neither moment is definitive and the second one is maybe a bit of a stretch, but they're both there.

The state is one of my favorite tv shows of all time. I've been disappointed with everything those guys have done since. I liked the movie fine but it wasn't great. This is the first post-state project I love

enjoyed this..can't wait to watch it again in a few months

It's not quite as brilliant as the film. But it's damn close. And it's refreshing as all hell. And I love it ever so much. It's so goddamn funny, even if the humor is a little more obvious, and everyone seems like they had the time of their lives. I can't say enough good things about this series.

Watched all 8 last night when I got back from vacay.
