I actually spent the majority of the time it took to load that team deciding whether to go with Thompson or Brimsek.

Looks like you made the right choice... 2 goals on 55 shots in that second game!

I still think you should have gone with Raycroft.

That one good year he had? 03-04 I think. The Bruins haven't had many good goalies throughout their history.

I thought I would let everyone know that once I finished putting my teams together I simulated 22 games between them. The Nordalanche went 22-0-1.

My Leafs team isn't going anywhere. I'm extremely excited to have gone 1-1 on Day 1.

1. Make sure to add a "1" to the GP category for anyone who played in the game so that it can calculate all the per game stats.

2. I made it as 4 separate sheets (season, Season2, postseason and totals). Season 1 and 2 update to your overall totals sheet, so you can break it up however you want (each season page has its own totals section)... I am using Season 1 for Home games and Season 2 for road. You can do true halves, or just use season 2 for the overflow of games (each one has 54 game slots).

3. If you find any issues let me know and Ill mess with it.

4. Once you add your names, you just copy from left to right starting with the +/- (dont forget to highlight if its a minus!) and you can just paste it into the +/- cell and it should paste all the stats across and update all the totals as well.

5. In the game cells, the pasting of the time on ice categories overrides the formatting I set up, so it looks kinda ugly, but it does stay correct in the totals sections. If you want to make the games look nicer, just highlight all the time on ice categories and reformat the times.

also, not sure how they figure out line pairings, but the French Connection getting the least TOI for the Sabres is a fucking travesty. They're easily my 2nd line behind Mogilny, LaFontaine, Vanek

whatif makes some crazy decisions

when numbers and I put together the all time red sox team I had to screw around with the pitching staff a few times before it decided pedro martinez in 1999 was good enough to be in the rotation instead of the bullpen

Or how we had to cut like 4 of our bullpen guys because it insisted on a certain starting 5.

It had Miller there when I loaded it. Maybe it doesn't save it the same way it does for baseball.

From now on, I guess I'll just have everyone tell me if they want a goalie change.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Mine doesn't play Sundin unless I have him in the starting lineup.

I just simulated a game with Hasek in net, he got pulled less than halfway through the 2nd and Miller blanked the Hawks while the Sabres scored 4 unanswered to win in OT

the French Connection (Robert, Perrault, and Martin) are essentially my PP line from what I can gather from multiple sims. They hardly get any 5v5 time

I guess I'd like to keep Ryan Miller in for now as he is the hot hand. Also, it seems like the team plays better in front of him
