I'm gonna dig into this band a bit more. I loved 59 Sound and Horrible Crowes.
Played the heck out of both Elsie and 59 sound but everything else i briefly checked out i wasn't immediately into.
However, Brian Fallon keeps kind of popping up for me and he seems like a super awesome dude. The gaslight anthem sound is right in my wheelhouse as well. Had tickets to see them about 12 years ago but couldnt make the drive down to denver to make it happen. May have to do that next time before PJ.

For all the kidding I have been doing here, they are a solid band. I saw them before the hiatus in New York in a twin billing with the Hold Steady. It was a fun show all around and I can say I preferred their set, but it’s been a while since I revisited that show from memory.
History Books is The Gaslight Anthem's first album in 9 years. The LP features 10 new TGA songs, including "Positive Charge" and the title track "History Books (feat. Bruce Springsteen)." The 180g and gatefold options are only available here in the band's official stores. Available October 27th. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the pink vinyl LP will go to The Red Door Community. They believe that no one should face cancer alone.

I love the first album. The rest of the stuff is fine.
However, I love Brian Fallon! Just as person. He seems so awesome.

I really enjoyed his solo albums and I agree, a lot of the YouTube solo vids I've seen of him he seems really down-to-Earth.

Love the new album. Don’t love the production choices.

Why does everything sound slightly tinny and artificial?

I saw someone online say it sounds like it was recorded at the bottom of the ocean.
Michigan, 1975 is fantastic.

Just finished up another listen at my desk. I find it far more accessible than Get Hurt and quite enjoyable. I'm sure with headphones on or a more dedicated listen I might find some qualms with the production but I really have no interest in dissecting music lately.

I don't anticipate to find any Brand New fans here but I think this is tremendous.
The new album is still hitting me pretty good. Get Hurt had a ton of baggage of course but I feel this one is taking all of the solid elements in that record and using it to bring some real life to this album. After the time off I had no idea what to expect but I think it's fantastic.
