Pearl Jam's live performances had a reputation for being amazing but this was the first time a wide audience was able to hear one. It was a massive concert, covered almost every song, and the whole performance of Ten and Vs songs is filtered through the creative process that was birthing Vitalogy.
Was it Atlanta were most of the studio cut of Betterman comes from? Says a lot about how good they were that they just took a live performance of the song and added some overdubs for Vitalogy.

There was a BOB interview snippet that was released around the time of Pj20 media hype where he discussed it. For the life of me, ever since, i have been unable to locate it.

Chud also queued up the betterman from vitalogy along side betterman from atlanta and it syncs up perfectly.

lmao at people who think 2003 was their peak. Eddie looked like an accountant and the band spent half of their time sitting in chairs playing acoustic.

I'm with you on this. 2003 is way down the list of Ed's aesthetics. His Live at the Garden look screams 80s dork. I'd rather he look like a cat.

betterman (live)

a tautology on vitalogy....

if we keep probing this further.... this is going to lead to a copy of the Declaration of Independence
