Fiji entering the tournament as the highest ranked team in the group. Tough match for Wales up first. Can easily see Fiji winning the group and Aus v Wales deciding the runner up.
Should be a great tournament. One half of the draw is stacked and imagine the winner will come from there - can see France getting over the line at home. Ireland in great form but it will only take one subpar performance in that group and it could be trouble. Plus them not getting away with wild side entries and elbows on the floor at every breakdown - see Japan 2019.

A little country by the name of Uruguay stole the hearts of the rugby world by standing up to France. They were within 1 point until the 55 min mark. No one expected this. They showed unbelievable heart.

The Aussies got the knife eh?
That win changes the complexion of things completely. In that group anyways.
Well done Fiji!

What a game. That could have been the final.
Titanic immense performances by both teams. So almost perfectly matched too both teams.
But Ireland victorious.
SA unlucky to miss those penalties. But they also got away with a lot of knock ins including their try.
Anyways. An incredible game of rugby. One for the ages.

It certainly played like one. Low scoring, very gutsy defensive display etc.
Well done to Ireland. The Boks had been on a tear!

We’re at 15 games in a row unbeaten. Scotland next and conventional analysis says they won’t trouble us too much.
It’s France or New Zealand after that though.
Either will be difficult to overcome.

Dark day for Australia not making it out of the group.

If it makes you feel any better I'm sure the All Blacks will be joining your crew on the sidelines soon enough......I assume. I honestly have no idea how they're doing

Apparently they’re really not in great shape lately or at this tournament.
My own take would be never ever bet against the all blacks.

Oh Ireland.
Making utter shit of Scotland. Destroying them. 31 point lead.
Then
Then fall asleep and let Scots rampage.
Irelland go through and now to face the all blacks
They will make shit of us if we fall asleep like that and be so complacent.
They will decimate the Irish defence especially.
I think Irelands race is run now.

You'll be fiiiine. We look extra flashy against lesser teams, but the big three won't allow us the space to create these moments of brilliance. We're going to get smashed at the gain line. Ireland look phenomenal.

Didn’t work well for us anyways.
Damn that was an ugly game. England felt inevitable to win for that while first half.
Where tf were South Africa at all?? It was amateur hour.
The right result though. This English team has no business in the final. They’ve fluked their way to this point really.

Manie Libbock (their starting 10) getting subbed off at 30 mins for ballsing up twice in as many minutes was the most brutal coaching decision I've seen in forever. Felt for the lad.
But yes, they were largely crap. I do think a lot of that had to do with the wet conditions though.
Rematch of the '95 final incoming. Hopefully our guys don't get poisoned this time lol.

Gonna have to Stickman this. Argentina just beat the British and Irish Lions in the first game of their campaign. It was meant to be a formality. A "go on, then" at home in Dublin, before heading off to Australia.
