I would like to add that even though I disagree about I Am Mine, I generally agree that the intellectual/advice guru songs tend to be Eddie's weaker lyrical moments. Don't let these people intimidate you. You're the best thing to happen to Pearl Jam chat since Tragmikejasond wrote:Just kidding.
No I think the middle songs just have a murky quality. I mentioned 'filler' tracks, but to me Riot Act, after LBC, feels like an entire album of nothing but 'filler' tracks until the end. nothing sticks. I do like TMW. You Are is pretty good. Also this must be PJ's worst album lyrically, especially I Am Mine, with intellectual Eddie all over it.
LBC referencing the Beatles bothers me for some reason. I just hate the lyrics on this whole album.
And Bushleaguer is on here so yeah.
