All in all a pretty good day. We need a quick wicket and a decent partnership through to session two drinks at least. Maybe 1 or 2 wickets lost before tea would be okay. Time for Usman to shine.

Yeah, shit. Rogers is hangin in there though and Clarke is building up a solid defense. I hope these two will develop a nice partnership.

I'm a big fan of Rogers. He works hard and doesn't waste reviews. He's a very team-oriented player.

And he doesn't seem to be caving under the pressure of all the other batters crumbling around him, including Clarke. Smith has done really well too. I think having Watson as a potential safety net at number 6 is a good idea. Warner is a better opener for an early upper hand.

Haha yeah, pretty much. Or maybe it's more of a case of both our bowling sides being excellent?

1-115 in the 2nd innings. Australia are going to win this.
*Believes*

OK. 5-175 and belief is slightly faltering...
Watson - generally speaking you are a prat, but right here, right now, I believe in you and know that you can stay by your captain's side and bring this thing home.
Let's do this.

Very disappointing.
If only Brad Hodges and Martin Love were both 24 again.

When Stuart Broad decides to be perfect there is nothing anybody can do about it. Although across the series Ian Bell is the difference between the two teams. He is pretty much the only consistent player on either team.

Agreed Nancy. England haven't been firing on all cylinders and they are still worthy winners. Let's hope Australia turn up next week and it finishes 3-1. Perfect set up for the summer series.
Anyway, congrats and enjoy these winning times.

Yep. Can't argue that best team won. As much as it pains me to say it, but Broad was excellent yesterday. And Bell was certainly the difference across the series.
By God but Australia are frustrating!

They are frustrating but it's a rebuilding phase. The bowlers are doing really well so that's a plus. Soon Haddin will retire so hopefully Wade steps up or aside.
As for the batsmen we need to stick with a few of them. Rogers is good for a year or two and by then hopefully Cowan/Hughes or whoever is ready to step up. Khawaja is my main concern. I think he's a good player who has head issues either by the selection panel or the precarious nature of the team lately.
And Watson has delivered 2 wickets in four tests at 78.5. That's poor from any player. He's returned 216 with the bat which is okay for an all rounder IF he picks up a wicket or 2 every test. Starc is almost the better option for an allrounder.
I fell Aust will draw the series in Aust 2-2. Which is a win considering our last 18 months.

I reckon Watson is nothing but a Test memory by the second test in our summer.

Wow this is a massive turnout for the books, Oz having its arse handed on a silver platter back to them back to back series.
Now all I need is for India to actually do something useful in South Africa over the winter and I'll actually have something to cheer about.
