i like the singles he's put out for his forthcoming, which is out tomorrow.

I don't think Bottle It In is among his best. However, B'lieve I'm Goin Down... is excellent.

If you like long and meandering, don't miss Wakin' on a Pretty Daze. Equal to Smoke Ring IMO, but a lot different (or at least, a little different).

I like the others too, but they're definitely a bit more cleanly produced.

I B’lieve I’m Going Down I think is my favorite so far. The songs are great. They still have that hypnotic vibe but also are more catchy and immediately accessible. Life Like This and Lost My Head There are awesome, and Pretty Pimpin, I’m an Outlaw, Dust Bunnies, and Wheelhouse are also really great. Nailed it on this one for me.

On to Lotta Sea Lice. This is a very good collaboration. I am surprised at how much I am ultimately enjoying everything, and that I am enjoying it more as I go along rather than wearing out - especially in the amount I am listening in such a quick time.

On Bottle It In. At least the start of this one is excellent. Not sure what the gripes are here. Yeah Bones, Bassackwards, Loading Zones, it’s all good so far.

Bottle It In is 78 minutes long. I am really enjoying Bottle It In, and constantly battling over feeling overwhelmed by the length of it but then it’s the longest songs Bassackwards, Bottle It In, Check Baby, Come Again that are my favorites so far, though shout out needs to be made for Rollin With the Flow, which is a fun song.

Longer commute today because I have to start the day in Staten Island, which for our purposes means we are on to Speed, Sound, Loneliness EV - I like this a lot so far. Speed of the Sound of Loneliness is great, and Gone Girl is also very good.

Edit: all of it fantastic. Dandelions was nice and How Lucky with John Prine is pretty stunning. On to the new one next…

Me too. I only realized in the last year or so that it's a cover, which is crazy -- it sounds exactly like something KV would write.

Shit! I did not know that. Who wrote it ? Perfext song for him then

I did not enjoy the new one at all. Only 1 listen but not my style of KV. Not many memorable hooks, Melody’s , guitar lines. Fo sho was nice

Maybe this is good for morning coffee background music and afternoon naps

I have liked what I heard so far. I am not sure it is much different than anything he has done since at least Smoke Ring. They’re all pretty mellow and long form songs. I guess I am enjoying that. I am through the shiny things interlude. Cool Water, Fo Sho, Jesus on a Wire, Hey Like a Child, Like Exploding Stones (!), and Flyin all thumbs up for me. I got a few more songs to go but other than this being long also, I am finding it enjoyable.

Yea but every other album also included bangers liken society is my friend, KV crimes, pretty pimpin, outlaw, loading zones

This one doesn’t seem to have really any standouts that separates the long free form random thought jams tha the does. So it all blended together for me.

I would put Like Exploding Stones in that category but for the fact that it is a long song.
