But remember her interview earlier in the show about the flight attendants. Maybe she is actually a social justice warrior and means it. Though her bringing the Indian secretary was to create ambiguity.
I'm with you on the cat. He videoed it and the door/gate thing being unlocked. That's a eureka moment he'll have when he watches it.
I'm not sure it'll make it to trial. It's doesnt look good for Nas in his current situation. And the protection from Omar is wildly ambiguous also.

Oh, I didn't read it like that at all; that seemed incredibly manipulative. Stone has the
look of an ambulance chaser/precinct crawler, but it's really obvious that he's actually got pretty solid ethics: he wants to make sure everyone gets their day in court and that no one gets chewed up by the system. Crowe is completely self-serving (her name is almost too on the nose).

He's genuine and good and that's easy to see watching but I cringed a death when he's talking to the parents. He sounded like a cheap bad hack.
So perhaps if Crowe is only doing it for a career move she can actually get it done?
That said, Stone clearly isn't done and will be back on it.

this show is all about nuanced characters. crowe isn't all bad; stone isn't all good.

I'm not sure Stone is all that upstanding when it comes to Naz. I noticed when Stone was making his offer, he started out saying, anyone who starts a sentence with 'I guarantee' is lying". Then a couple minutes later says, "I guarantee any other lawyer is going to want to plea this out." or something close to that. Then he goes right to the DA's office and tries to plea down to manslaughter.

Yeah. While Crowe doesn't seem to have the most pure motives, it's still probably a good idea to go with her simply for the resources she can devote to the case.

I'm going to stand by Stone being the most upstanding part of the "Law" that we've seen so far. But that's with the understanding that his life and his career depends on getting through as many cases as quickly as possible (ironically, just like the legal aide attorney he described to Naz's parents). There ain't no saints here, but I'd much rather have Stone on my side in a case with so much nuance than Crowe (from what we've seen of her so far), who's going to try and go big with headlines instead of looking at the little things.

I just think with Crowe you have a conference room full of junior attorneys trying to make partner who are going to comb through everything.

We'll find out how Crowe approaches the case soon enough, but my bullshit detectors are going off like mad. We've also got to ask what Freddy is going to want in return for protecting Naz--he hasn't asked for anything yet, but you know there has to be a quid-pro-quo.

Thinking about Freddy's wants/desires: looking back, it was interesting that the first scene after we meet him shows him having sex with a woman. Immediately cuts off speculation that Freddy's interest in Naz is sexual in nature, makes him more mysterious and intriguing.

Im hooked with this show, its really cool but...im pretty sure the killer was that black guy in the first episode...i mean, there was two guys walking who cursed Naz, then there is one who keeps staring him at the stairs. Then, when the other guy talks to Box he said he was alone? Isnt it obvious those two had something to do with the murder?
