Just don’t give him too many choices. My biggest parenting mistake so far has been letting the kids see the “suggested” Youtube menu.Monkey_Driven wrote:Only 2.Bammer wrote:How old again?Monkey_Driven wrote:My son still really only watches Sesame Street and sports. My kids get completely hooked in something for a week or two then completely forget it existed. They watch more tv than I would like, but in 2 years they have used their tablets probably less than 10 times.
That's what I'm thinking. The whole ala carte/streaming world seems like a pandora's box for children.Bammer wrote:Just don’t give him too many choices. There's a criminal amount of Grover and Snuffleupagus these days.tragabigzanda wrote:Benn watching Sesame Street with my kid. Limited to one episode a day. She's only four months, but I think she really likes the bright colors and funny sounds; she seems to smile and is even starting to giggle a little.
This show is still amazing. But where's Mr. Snuffleupagus?
Also, who is this Abby Cadabby kid?Monkey_Driven wrote:There's a criminal amount of Grover and Snuffleupagus these days.tragabigzanda wrote:Benn watching Sesame Street with my kid. He has a cartoonish way of saying "cheese" that should annoy me, but somehow it's one of my favorite character choices for him.tragabigzanda wrote:Gonger is the best Sesame Street character
I'm picturing this with a kitchen gong to go along with it. Don't tell me if I'm wrong.Simple Torture wrote:Whenever my wife and I are cooking, we yell "It's ready!" in the Gonger voice when it's done.
rejoice! After more than two decades on the air, long-running PBS Kids show “Caillou” has been canceled. Reaction so far has been mostly positive to the news as it seems many were not fans.
The series centers on a precocious self-centered boy and his family and has long been targeted by parents with complaints about it turning their kids into whiny brats. [Source: CNN]
