I'm probably the only person on this board that really doesn't care for Comatose.

Strange. Mine too. But probably for different reasons. A fish attacked my nipple about 3 years ago. It hasn't been the same since.Thejambi wrote:My nipples hurt.

I felt like there were maybe five people on this board at most who did.durdencommatyler wrote:I'm probably the only person on this board that really doesn't care for Comatose.
You need to calibrate your monitor thats' all.MemoFromTurner wrote:Did they just f-ck up? It's really bugging me.
True indeed.harmless wrote:I'm pretty sure of two things:Strat wrote:harmless wrote:I don't think I'll be 'let down', because I wasn't expecting more. But I hear you and agree. Granting that some of us are trying to form opinions based on a horrible recording, my basic feeling is this: it's very aggressive, which could be a good thing, but it lacks a kind of moodiness that I sense in really good Pearl Jam songs. For example, an immediate aggressive/aggressive and moody comparison that springs to mind is "Whipping" vs. "Last Exit."
My fear is that the missing je ne sais quoi coupled with some subpar, unsubtle lyrics will ultimately make this a letdown for me.
The quick and terrifying decent of the harmless psyche begins!
1) I'll dig it. Or at least, tonight I'm going to have fun trying to figure out whether I dig it enough.
2) It will be neither the best song on the album, nor the worst. I think we all know what kind of space it will occupy on the record.

I'm in agreement here. I'll probably dig this more live. But who knows til it happens.
Did you see it live? Like God's Dice and Save You, after I saw it live my entire feeling on the song changed.durdencommatyler wrote:I'm probably the only person on this board that really doesn't care for Comatose.
Actually...I hate Comatose/crapshoot rapture/crapshoot/crap. lol I've just never gotten a feel for it sadly...durdencommatyler wrote:I'm probably the only person on this board that really doesn't care for Comatose.
it kinda blows live. for some reason they've been saving it for encores when ed's voice is gone. it should be like the 2nd song played.Hatfield wrote:Did you see it live?
