If it wasn't for his cameo in Rogue One, im not sure my heart could take these episodes.

I was the same way. I kept thinking "he's in R1!"
I loved those desert scenes in this episode

Listening and reading up on twin suns.
Theres actually a lot going on here I didn't realise. This was Ezras heros journey. Going into the desert on its own is a big thing in mythology and the hero usually comes out with new found wisdom and purpose.
Gives me hope that he'll be a lot more mature now.

It's probably been asked a dozen times, but is this show worth watching? I've not seen this or Clone Wars, and this one looks more interesting to me.
Just looking for a fix while we all wait for Episode VIII

It is worth it. For me, I think the Clone Wars has more payoff. Both series have their share of fillers, but ultimately worth it.

Its an easier watch than Clone Wars, and its more consistent and less of a time investment. Both are very much worth watching.

Thanks guys. Is Clone Wars a tad darker than Rebels?

More than a tad, especially as it relates to the ethical dilemma of the Clones.

That sounds right up my alley. I think I'll have to download the first seasons of both and give them a go.

The peak story lines of Clone Wars are in many respects as good as any of the movies, tbh. (krell, fives, etc).

Neither of the first seasons are the strength. Just commit to going all the way through. If you like Star Wars, its entirely worth it for both series.
And you can make a pretty compelling argument that a lot of the best characters in the Star Wars universe exist almost entirely in this series. (chopper for instance)

There is a lot of seriously dark stuff in clone wars let's not forget. Sith ghosts, occult magic, up to stuff like the clones and their treatment as just tools and not people.
Both are well worth watching but for very different reasons.
Clone wars informs and raises the prequels so much.
Rebels is getting better and better at tying things into the OT and rogue one.
They're great Star Wars stories that are far more worthwhile than you'd expect.

The episode really made me wonder what Ezra's end game will be. Which is something that needed to be done.

It just seems like this is really going to build up Ezra even more into a good Jedi, so it would be kinda weird to do that next season then just kill him.
