Late last year, a nearby, below average cafe closed down. No biggie because there’s a cafe every three doors in this town.

In recent months, it appeared to be getting an interior makeover, then walking the dog this morning, I finally noticed some signage of what’s to come and when.

It’s going to be a specialty coffee joint selling a very highly rated local bean, which will be a bit more unique to the area. And the reno inside looks great. Looking forward to guzzling some great coffee come end of June.

Bought a French press on sale and made my first French press coffee today. Probably a little too weak, easy adjustment, but enjoyed it.

I should get mine out of the cupboard. It’s fun to experiment with ratios and steeping times to find your flavor.

I had a hard time at the Starbucks Reserve Roasters in Chicago. They had a Bourbon barrel aged coffee for $80/lb. I passed on a 1/2 lb bag, and now I'm regretting it.

Pretty cool place. Mrs Wease and I went with Dad and Mrs Dad a couple years back. IIRC, Mrs Wease had an espresso martini.

That’s right! Ones of the biggest times in my life I wish I liked coffee.

Had a 10/10 coffee experience at this place today: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7gSZEh2qjKgD78wm6?g_st=ic

will definitely be back there, probably every day.
