Damn man, that's impressive. That would wreck me. I
maybe could hang around 7 for an hour.... at my best.

Going to run a 10k on 3/13. I'm horribly unprepared, I've been running way less than I had imagined this winter.

Still plenty of time left to get ready for that

What's a good pace watch that won't break the bank? I start marathon training this Monday.

You can get a Garmin Forerunner 10 for less than $100. You might even be able to find a Forerunner 15 for less than $100 as well at this point.

Finally! 10 in 72 minutes yesterday. 7.5 on my favorite trail in 66 minutes this morning. Trail was packed. It was a total logjam at the saddle. 10 years ago I would routinely run the trail and not see a soul. Today, there was probably about 500 people on it.
Calves are pretty toasty right now.

I second the Forerunner 10. Simple, but effective. And it acquires satellites quickly.
Use caution when buying older Garmin watches. They went through a time when some of their watches
only showed what the end pace of your current mile (or "lap") would be instead of what your current pace was. I always hated that.

Knee's been fucked for the last week. I was worried it was serious. But I did 6.5 miles today and no problems. Thank Christ!

10 miles in 72 minutes. Night run.
Felt good, but I need to drop some weight. I was 180 this morning. I gain almost 10 pounds in two weeks. I haven't been 180 in like 20 years.
Turns out beer, shitty food and no exercise makes you gain weight.

How tall are you?
I'm 5,9" and currently weigh 160. I'm hoping to be 150 for the race in June. I finally cut alcohol. Haven't had a drop in almost 3 weeks. Working on nutrition. That's the hardest part for me.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. If I ran at 180 I'd probably mess up my knees for life. I'm 6'0" and around 162-165.

Yeah, I'm also 6'0" and typical run at 160 to 170. Although when I was running ultras regularly, I was 145 to 150. I looked like death.

6km run (didn't time it) today. I now feel much better about my upcoming 10k.
