The verses in Greensleeves are amazing. The chorus is weak though. It doesn't live up to the majesty of the melody of the verse.

First time through Compton and I must admit, I'm kinda surprised by how good it is.

It's easy to forget how iconic Heart-Shaped Box is for those of us of a certain age. The sense memory in it are so deep. Those opening notes transport. It's ingrained and palpable.

Bought a $25 iTunes gift card at the gas station today. Pretty excited to spend it later.

Has anyone heard the Monsanto album? I completely forgot about it until just now. I've always kept up with Neil but I've felt no urgency to check this one out.

It has its flaws but The Replacements Don't Tell a Soul is pretty good. You miss the rough edges of the previous albums but it still rocks enough.

Hootenanny is hilarious and I would rather listen to it than any album post Let It Be.

With Run it, Color Me impressed, take to to the hospital, treatment bound and within your reach - Hootenany is a fucking legit and incredibly record.

Dont Tell a Soul is great as well. The production is most annoying but Ill be you, Achin' to be, talent show, I wont and darlin' one - Its a great listen

Did you just pick up the vinyl box set?

No, I heard the first four albums 10 years ago and just got around to listening to Pleased To Meet Me and Don't Tell A Soul. Obviously Pleased To Meet Me is great but I dock it a few points for having a few too many "same sounding" songs if that makes any sense.
