Neat video. I always wanted to see Greta Gerwig dance in the midst of the Battle of the Bulge.

Re: Arcade Fire
After straight mainlining Reflektor for much of the last 10 days I've come back to the other three albums. Once again I am reminded of the singular, perfect brilliance of this song:
In 5 minutes you have the essence of Arcade Fire - everything that is great about them. Watching this again I am reminded more than anything of one thing: while Win is the brains behind Arcade Fire, Regine is the band's heart and soul. They would not be who they are without her flair, her beautiful voice, her ability to play like 10 instruments and most of all, her energy and passion. Watch any video of Arcade Fire (or better yet, go see them live) and you'll see what I mean.
The best part of that video is watching Regine lose herself in childlike play dancing after she's done singing.

Re: Arcade Fire
I know a bunch of guys have a crush on Regine, but she ranks really low on the list of "Cutest Montreal Girls". This town holds hordes of hot chicks.

that was good. I like that more than the studio version. It's angrier.matt reeder wrote:After straight mainlining Reflektor for much of the last 10 days I've come back to the other three albums. Once again I am reminded of the singular, perfect brilliance of this song:

I wish I could join you there. I think it settles on 4/5 stars. I'm pleased with it, but it isn't the second coming of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Re: Arcade Fire
It's beginning to come across as uneven for me. I don't care for the track that comes after We Exist, or the second Here Comes the Night Time. Supersymmetry (sp?) is nice to have, but doesn't add much. The rest ranges from stellar to brilliant, though.
It's not as consistently good or as cohesive a piece of work as The Suburbs. That is their true masterpiece, so far.
