Oh you remind me I should throw in that Bert Keischer or whatever catastrophe.

All of those people *are* unfunny with the exception of Segura. His standup specials are good and "Your Mom's House" is a very enjoyable video podcast.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I don't go as far as Jorge in dislike for stand-up comedy. There are definitely gems and a lot that are watchable if nothing else, but it's easily one of my least favorite forms of comedy.
But recently in my mindless Facebook scrolling i've watched suggested Reels and fell into the algorithm of comedians either in stand-up or podcast clips. And man, some of these are so incredibly unfunny. Theo Vonn, Matt Rife, Trevor Wallace, some other guy, Chris D'Elia, some other other guy, Tom Segura (not really seen enough to say but yeah whatever). Sometimes I just watch them either in hope of catching one that's entertaining or in the hate watch manner, which in turn makes me hate myself. And now I see that a lot of these guys have had podcasts for years.
Part of me thinks I shouldn't judge them on clips alone, but I have no desire to find out otherwise.
Thank you for your time.
I can think of a few people. I don't care, though. I'll laugh at what I want. This is actually a great time for comedy, precisely because everything is so controversial. People need a vent.Ello Sailor wrote:Danny Brown's podcast on the YMH network is hilarious. What an absolute creature. Probably a little "problematic", but... who cares?

Kinda why I avoid Marc Maron's stand up. What I've seen is pretty terrible.bada wrote:I very much enjoy Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino's various podcasts. I've purposely stay away from their stand up in case they suck and it ruins it.
His most recent HBO special was very good. Not a big fan of his earlier stuff.BurtReynolds wrote:Kinda why I avoid Marc Maron's stand up.
