But it’s gonna take money, a whole lot of spending money, it gonna take plenty of money, to do it to do it to do it to do it right.
Not even his song…
He even aspires to maximum douchebag status on the album cover. No one has ever looked more like a plastics manufacturing owner ready to jam with his lawyer friend-slash-neighbor at the lake house.

I think I just root for Dave. Not been a mega fan in a while but damned if I just keep hoping they’ll just keep it going. I guess it’s because Dave just seems to want to have fun. Like doing the disco thing or the Crown Royal commercial or the horror flick or whatever. He’s gotten to a place where if something sounds like a fun idea, fuck it, he’ll do it. No, their music doesn’t grab me like it once did but hey they’re still out there. And he seems like he’d be a helluva dude to hang with.

Hmmm. Possibly. I certainly wouldn’t rule that out. But I do think a lot of his motivation comes from the fact he still ENJOYS what he does.

Maybe Taylor’s been holding them back, and the next record will be great.

I'm probably gonna rankle some feathers with this one, but I found him to be a very vanilla drummer. Not that the Foos really need anything more, but...
Agreed

Hawkins was an above average drummer who did what he could with what he was given: an endless barrage of safe dad rock tunes.

He always seemed more suited for being a rock star than an interesting musician.
So, the perfect drummer for FF.

They had a great drummer to begin with, but he got mad when all his drum tracks got overdubbed. Probably just room for one of them in that band
