Also, Eddie just announced that PJ is playing Obana the first and third nights and Neil Young & Crazy Horse the middle night!
Californication came out in 1999 and that album sounds like shit. Avocado 2006. Both those sound way worse to me than Dark Matter.

But please consider participating in the board moving forward in the other threads.

We have a strong, longtime crew but can always use more numbers. We need to grow to survive.

we need more contributors to the poop thread.
and the pee thread. I need to find out if pee can come out of your body at different temps or not
Yes, this is a priority.

For sure, let's not forget about this.

I've listened to the releases of DM, Running, Wreckage, and heard Scared of Fear from the cargo shorts boot.

I'll probably still hold out and wait until released tomorrow at 11central. All of this excitement is awesome!

I just dropped my Sirius package down not that long ago to not pay for Stern and it was a deal too good to pass up, but now I want Stern for like 1 month free. Haha

I really dont get that line of thought of: "This is the kind of record they were trying to make in [insert album]". There is some naivety in it. They would never have made this record without the others.

agree; I think PJ are the type of band that hammers something out until they get something they view as perfect, so in a way (but not really) they always make versions of the "same album"

Haven't listened to DM yet
That's my rankings as well. I love Avocado but i can already tell this album has higher highs. So my immediate reaction is to slot DM in right below Gigaton but it definitely has a chance to land above it.

I agree with you, meaning I think they experienced some clunkers on Backspacer and LB and really I think it took a super fan like Watt to get the very best out of them.

How about rank the Matt Cameron albums? He's now at 7 albums with PJ - amazing.

It's as if someone in the Pit said "hey go over to RM, they have it..."

Binaural, Riot Act: A little bit lost. Realizing they don’t have an “and then” in mind. Not sure about what comes next.

S/T, Backspacer, LB: Faking it til they make it. Trying to patch the holes in the armor by telling you whatever they think you want to hear, and with studies of craft. Not ever pulling it off, but learning some good lessons along the way.

Gigaton, DM.

prove it with this simple quiz. which board member had the most breakdowns and board exits during the lead up to this record?

This the record they were trying to make with Ten, but they fell short.

Finally, after more than 3 decades, they've done it

the drums sound fantastic on this! :luv:

who's the nut around here that thinks they sound like shit?
i love how it sounds like Matts playing on taught pieces of tissue paper...underwater no less!

anyway so far every song feels a bit too easy to like which in the past has been a bad sign. i dont get that feeling though.
cant wait to listen in the car tomorrow!
