Too early to say anything beyond that, but that's still a decent, big statement to make.
Gigaton
DM
Avocado
Backspacer
LB
DM
Avocado
Gigaton
Backspacer
LB
This for me too. Avocado still sits in a very special place because of where I was in life when it came out and how much I listened to the album before and after it's proper release. Also saw almost every CA show that tour. So for now, Avocado and DM are neck and neck. Gigaton and the rest of the pack are pretty far behind these two atm.

Appears to still be working on my end, have had no complaints yet... however, I am getting fatigued, might need a call to the bullpen soon

I'm grading on the "new music" curve, but I'm giving Dark Matter 5 Stars. I haven't been compelled to do that since 1998. We'll see how this plays out over the next few days.

I keep coming back to Upper Hand. Why can't the best band in the land put out a relatively straightforward song with all of the aspects that makes them Pearl Jam?!

I still don't dig Running, but I'm not ashamed to admit that this dad of 15 year old twin girls got a little emotional on my first spin of Something Special.

I'm here for all of this!

Pearl Jam sat down with Zane Lowe to talk about their latest track, Wreckage. Listen to their conversation now on Apple Music: http://apple.co/zane

I like the album a lot, buy I think the stronger songs are in the second half - the opposite of most PJ records since Yield IMO.

Early still but for me this is miles better than Gigaton. And now I’ll just pretend LB and BS don’t exist

Would love a PM of the link - coming from the guy that spread Avocado around and still listen to the proper LIFE WASTED without the solo fade out at the end!

Stones interview with Kyle Meredith on Consequence of Sound starts the 13th Album Rumors and Speculation Thread, indicating he wants to get right back in the studio.

He says he wants to record for a few weeks and bang out more songs. Perhaps they can get that out quickly by doing that and combing through the wreckage of what didn’t make the album.

Long day at work, catching up on 37 new pages since this morning. Did I read something about a quality leak out there somewhere? If so who do I have to bribe / give my unborn child to get a copy?

Top tier (potential 5 stars):
Wreckage
Won’t Tell
Upper Hand
Setting Sun
Interlude (w/ and w/o baby)

2nd Tier (solid 4 stars):
Scared of Fear
Got to Give
Waiting for Stevie

3rd Tier (3+ stars):
Dark Matter
Running
React/Respond
Something Special

I’m pretty confident that at least for now there’s no automatic skips on this record. Although I’ve already just started jumping straight to Won’t Tell and letting it run from there. This is easily my favorite since Avocado and I’m honestly pretty shocked about it.

Public announcement:

One need not bring their Pearl Jam credentials to this board. This is not a gang, nor a secret society.

We do not care how many shows you have been to or which PJ song you lost your virginity to (well, actually... maybe we are interested in that?)

 Nice detective work!
It would be reassuring if the official release sounds better, even slightly.

Likely will remain hopeful for the following:
