Weezer have two classic albums, and great tracks strewn throughout their other 90's albums.
'Beverly Hills' is one of the laziest, corniest songs I've ever heard, though. How the fuck did that become a hit? It boggles the mind.
Anyway, I stopped paying attention after that.

yeah, that single was awful. Also that other song from that album i guess that had a video

I'd put Maladroit in there too. A really solid hard rock album with some weirdness to it.
And The White Album is filled with really catchy, well-written songs.
The arc of Weezer's career bends decidedly toward shittiness, but there are some salvageable scraps in the heap

I stopped listening after Pacific Daydream so I have no idea if anything else they made after 2016 is worthwhile

I don’t enjoy cover songs that don’t bring something new to the song. What’s the point otherwise? I don’t care about hearing another person’s voice just singing a song I already know that’s just not as good of a rendition. It’s safe and boring and a waste of time. Just go perform at a Guitar Center while I listen to the original that is apparently good enough on its own to warrant someone trying to copy it.
