I tried Dope Thief, and I think it has promise, but I’m just not in the mood for another crime show.

Yeah, this absolutely fantastic all around. Writing, direction, cast, execution. What a rewarding artistic experience. We watched the entire thing in one sitting. I can't remember the last time I watched a limited series in one go like that.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
Also, started the FX docu-series 'Social Studies.'
Woof... being 45 and watching 16 year olds dealing with high school right now is fucking tough. Parts feel so universal and other parts feel like I'm watching an alien culture. The first episode is really good, though. Heartbreaking at times, confusing at others, infuriating at points. But never not fascinating.

Be glad you don’t have a 16-year-old dealing with high school right now.

The Pitt
Very different and well-acted. The absence of background music is an interesting choice. Some mandatory stupid woke dialogue in episode 2, but the first three are still well worth the time. I can see this doing well come Emmy nomination time.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
We started it but it didn’t hold our interest. I think we only watched 2-3 episodestragabigzanda wrote:has anyone watched The Resort? I saw it on a listicle about "shows to binge if you love The White Lotus." They all mostly looked like a waste of time, but this looks possibly fun. Big fan of both Cristin Milioti and Skylar Gisondo.
