This show is good star wars fun.

I do think you'd struggle if you had never seen Clone Wars/Rebels

Now that was great. You’re thinking this is a bit too goofy then you remember hey did this in rebels too!
Meaning Ahsoka in space mainly.
But the entire space battle and chase was pure rebels / clone wars vibes.
Loved it.
The WWII fighter plane design in Shins attack group could have been cringe. This series space Vespas.
Thankfully they were awesome.
Design and purpose heritage too. Goes all the way back to them using WWII fighter footage for the space battles in ANH and ROTJ

Ahsoka realising what we need right now, drops the master apprentice dynamic and flips it and asking Sabine what she needs during the dogfight. Is that’s more like Ahsoka

Glad there’s a bad vibe between Shin and Morgan. Shin wasn’t buying her crap from the outset. But the bitchy tete a tete between them here was great.

Why wasn’t there more Baylon in this one? This ep could have been longer in fairness.
And that planet seems familiar.
Kevin Kiner is crushing it with the music. He did a fantastic job all throughout here.
Watched the end credits properly this time.
Does sorta suggest what’s coming but again it would need multiple seasons to do it any justice.

Yoda> Dooku> Qui-Gon> Obi-Wan> Anakin> Ahsoka> Sabine line is certainly unconventional as Huyang put it.

Senator Xiono is the father of Kaz, the protagonist in Resistance. Despite the fact we almost never saw or heard him, he was pretty interesting for being anti-Resistance, viewing them as a group of extremists inflaming relations with the First Order.

It was cool to have that connection to a show that most forget about!

Good ep but I could do with less stoicism.

Why did Sabine have to move the ship to pick her up? Why didn't she just Mary Poppins it?

Dogfight was trench battle
Shut down droid in the back right of the cockpit (ESB)
Forest landing was the space worm landing

The damaged ship drifting looked really cool btw.

This show is really hitting the spot for me. My expectations were unrealistically high going in. And so far I'm satisfied. It's not a perfect show, to be sure. But the things that work, the magic, far outweighs the negatives.

I'm so happy!
