yeah all the songs from those sessions have a special something that keeps me coming back over and over even when I wasn't sure I liked some of them. Weird obsession. There is a perfect album in there somewhere.

Stip, please explain what this image means to you relative to Binaural. I love your insight into the album through the context of an image such as this.

I think the Binaural art mostly relates to the sound and feel of the records, rather than the ideas. Cold, vast, empty, but possessing a hard, formless, drifting, beauty--albeit one that makes you feel insignificant. .


Of course most of the color in space photos is added in later, and not necessarily reflecting what scientists think the actual colors might be. That probably means something too.

I am currently sitting in this hell hole called laguardia. Only 3 more hrs ...

laguardia is fucking terrible. But JFK and Newark are both good.

God this is unbearable. People are crammed on top of each other. The smells are drifting out from every dung crack in the floor.
