I saw hectares and thought of this Simpsons line: “She’ll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene.”
I'm a terrible person.

Netanyahu knows he’s finished when this war is over. He has nothing stopping him at the moment from seizing as much land for Israel as he can, maybe all of it. Like everything with this conflict over the last 15 years, it’s been happening in plain view.

Also, America’s highest ever ranking Jewish official made his views known in a way that I hope gets people thinking. He didn’t mince words, and he is clearly sounding the alarm.

So for the first time the US didn’t veto that vote today in the UN
There really isn’t a bigger message they could send to Netenyahu than that.

So basically the old dude is an Arab who converted to Judaism years ago; he placed his bag on the floor at a bus stop and the
soldier essentially executed him because he came across like a suspicious Arab.

Hard to see how certain governments will continue their support after this. Meaning Britain and Australia specifically

Some folks all a twitter about Israel blowing up an embassy annex in Syria. I don't know about that, having proxies shooting at random merchant vessels seems pretty far into violating international norms territory.
Is there a question than matters to Israel other than what they can do that would seriously risk alienating the US? An actual shooting war with Iran seems up there, but maybe we'd still support them even if they got that going. (Which is weird, because significant portions of the third Obama admin are obsessively into normalizing relations with Iran, to an extent)

When you have Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert doing lengthy diatribes you’d have to wonder when it’s gonna land for the administration and Israel that they’ve lost American support?
